This June our team went to Hero Pups in Exeter NH. They provide support dogs to veterans and first responders in New England diagnosed with service-related psychological challenges. They are a non-profit who are 100% volunteer-run and to date have paired 170 support dogs with veterans/first responders. We met the amazing team that runs this organization day-to-day, the work they put in and dedication they have for this cause is inspiring. The timing couldn’t have been better as they happen to have two litters of puppies at the time of our visit. We were able to spend the day helping them with some of their bigger to-do’s; breaking down and moving dog pens, cleaning out the puppy rooms, cleaning out the nursing room, and of course lots of puppy time and puppy baths. It was a fun day full of hard work and was rewarding in every way, especially watching Laura cross the last item off her to-do list!
